stated. “Cessna is good at building these aircraft. It does what they say it will do.”
What’s the best part of owning the Mustang? “Doing what I do requires a lot of travel. So it allows us to maximize our time together as a family. In the cockpit, it gives us a chance to talk and be together,” said Larry.
Kelly added, “It gives us the flexibility to travel on our own schedule and go to places that would be impossible or very difficult to reach on the airlines. And with kids, it’s a less stressful way to travel.”
But like any married couple, the division of left seat time can be competitive. “We are constantly
adding up flight time and number of landings. If he flies it for business, then I have to catch up,” she laughed. “We used to have some good-natured fights about it.”
Larry summed up their shared passion this way•. “I can’t imagine life without aviation. It’s just a part of who we are.” T&T
