Repairs of interior components have turned into a large part of the firm’s business; AvFab overhauls thousands of seat-recline actuators each year, either turning around the customer’s cylinders or supplying replacements from a stock of cores, on a three-day schedule, at much lower cost and more quickly than replacement with new components. Similarly, improvements are made to existing seat frames and cabinetry, like AvFab’s replacement King Air worktables, to extend the life of older airplanes.
Taking Some Years Off The Cabin
Much of the interiors business centers around giving older airplanes the look of a much-newer aircraft, by replacing dated window shades, side-armrests and tables in King Airs or other planes. The person
