NBAA2011 Features Light Business Airplane Program for Owner-Operators
Twin & Turbine readers have an outstanding opportunity to connect with other light business airplane owner-operators at the upcoming 64th NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2011) in Las Vegas this October.
From Monday, October 10 through Wednesday, October 12, NBAA2011 will feature Exhibits at the Las Vegas Convention Center, a Static Display of Aircraft on Henderson Executive Airport, over 100 Education Sessions and Maintenance and Operations Sessions (M&Os) and over 25,000 business aviation professionals who are interested in seeing and learning about all that is new in the world of business aviation.
Included as part of this world-class venue will be the second edition of the Light Business Airplane (LBA) Conference, focusing on owners who use their aircraft for business purposes, and entrepreneurs considering the purchase of a light business aircraft.
LBA sessions on October 10 and 11 will cover seminars on: IFR Safety Focus – FAF Inbound; Maximizing Benefits and Minimizing Costs of Your Business Aircraft; Passing FL180; Getting Reimbursed for Flights – What do the FARs Say?; and Tax Benefits of Business Aircraft.
The LBA Conference, which is jointly produced by NBAA and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), will also be a part of the AOPA Aviation Summit being held in Hartford, CT from September 22-24.
Before the LBA Conference gets underway, a Single-Pilot Safety Standdown, sponsored by Cessna Aircraft Company, will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on October 9. Participants will be able to hear from fellow pilots, and share their own actual experiences on safety-themed topics. Discussion areas will
include a focus on emerging technologies in cockpit information and decision-support systems to enhance operational safety, best practices for on-the-ground operations, and planning for flights outside the continental U.S.
The Cessna/NBAA Single-Pilot Safety Standdown is free of charge to registered Attendees at NBAA2011. Space is limited, however, and advance registration is requested. All materials and meals at the Cessna/NBAA Single-Pilot Safety Standdown will be provided compliments of Cessna Aircraft Company.
By combining the LBA program with NBAA2011, attendees can take advantage of NBAA2011’s Education Sessions, Maintenance & Operations Sessions (M&Os), aviation industry exhibits, and special events, such as the Opening General Session and the NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit, in support of the Corporate Angel Network’s philanthropic mission.
As in previous years, NBAA2011 continues to provide industry leaders and key operators in the business aviation community the best opportunity to meet, conduct business, make buying decisions, and set the stage for business aviation activities for the coming year.
