wholesale distribution company that sells construction materials such as plumbing and HVAC products. During his time there, he steadily rose in the ranks and eventually became the COO of the parent company, Wolseley, the world’s largest wholesale heating and plumbing distributor.
In 2008, he left the company to take what he had learned and apply it to new challenges. He served as CEO for Bradco Supply Corporation, one of the nation’s largest roofing supply companies, assisting with its acquisition by American Builders & Contractors Supply Company. Currently, he is president and CEO of a start-up called RelaDyne, which distributes lubrication products to
auto, commercial vehicle, industrial and aviation industries. In aviation, the company distributes AeroShell and Mobile products to FBOs and repair stations.
“One of the best things that has come out of this is that I can get Mobile Jet Oil 254 now,” he chuckled. “It was so hard to find, and now I can get it anytime I want.”
Moving to Jet Power
While the JetPROP performed flawlessly, Larry and Kelly were starting to feel its limitations. With three young children, they wanted a larger cabin with a lavatory. They also wanted the safety of two turbine engines. In addition, with Larry’s new RelaDyne venture, he often
needed to fly to the company’s various distribution offices in the Midwest and the south-central United States. They considered the Pilatus PC-12 and the Beechcraft King Air, but eventually put a deposit on the A700 AdamJet, a VLJ upstart that folded in 2008.
“The reason we chose AdamJet was because of the stand-up lav, the large cabin and its relatively low price compared to other new aircraft we looked at,” Larry said. “We were among the few people outside of the company who got to fly the prototype aircraft.”
