T&TElliott Aviation Certifies STC for Mid-Continent´s MD302 Standby Attitude ModuleOn January 20, 2014, Elliott Aviation announced FAA certification of the supplemental type certificate (STC) for a Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics MD302 Standby Attitude Module (SAM®) as part of its Garmin G1000 avionics upgrade in King Air aircraft. The MD302 will be standard in all of Elliott Aviation´s future Garmin G1000 installations.The MD302 provides attitude, altitude, airspeed and slip information to the pilot during normal operation or in the case of primary instrument failure, enhancing system reliability and reducing pilot workload.
