The aircraft will serve fractional shareowners in Kansas City, Missouri and Wichita, Kansas.Earlier this week, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) presented Embraer its Production Certificate to assemble Phenom 100s in the United States. Previously, Phenom jets assembled in Melbourne have been certified under the FAA type certificate granted to those produced in Brazil.Executive AirShare took delivery of the first U.S.-built Phenom 100 in December 2011 and now has a total of 14 Phenom 100 and five Phenom 300 in its combined fractional and managed fleets. Executive AirShare has logged more than 15,000 flight- hours in Phenom aircraft since30 • TWIN & TURBINEbecoming Embraer’s launch fleet customer for the Phenom 100 in 2009.Executive AirShare was the first to operate the Phenom 100 aircraft under FAA Parts 135 and 91k, the first fractional to operate a Phenom 300, and is the only fractional provider in the U.S. to offer both the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300.“Both the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 offer superior range and speed and low direct operating costs, making them the ideal airframes for our regional fractional ownership model,” said Keith D. Plumb, Executive AirShare president and chief operating officer.“The nationals are simply not able to operate smaller aircraft profitably because of all the deadheading required by their business models,” adds Robert D. Taylor, chairman and chief executive officer, Executive AirShare. “We offer superior service and value, and the Phenoms are a big reason for that.”Executive AirShare serves frac- tional shareowners and membersin six Central U.S. cities: Kansas City, Mo., Wichita, Kan., Dallas and Fort Worth, Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla., and in 2010 added a Great Lakes/Mid-Atlantic base at Buffalo, N.Y.As of May 2012, the company has more than 130 shareowners and members, up from 95 shareowners in 2010 and 75 shareowners in 2009. Unlike traditional fractional models, which essentially operate as air taxi services ferrying multiple shareowners on any given day, Executive AirShare bases its aircraft in cities where its shareowners live and work, and makes each aircraft available on a “per day” basis, a model that most closely replicates the benefits of full ownership and enables owners to travel on the aircraft they actually own with pilots they know on a first-name basis.Executive AirShare serves shareowners in Kansas City, Mo., Wichita, Kan., Tulsa and Oklahoma City, Fort Worth and Dallas, and Buffalo, N.Y.
