over-emphasized. The 325-hp TSIO- 520-WB carries a recommended TBO of 1,600 hours.
A huge plus for the 58 are its big double rear doors. The P-Baron’s single, rather small, rear door does make getting in and out of the rear club seating a bit more difficult. But those big doors are expensive, as you consider the price difference between the model 55 to 58 Barons.
One of the weaknesses in all Barons is the limited baggage space. All 58s have some storage space behind the rearmost seats as well as a fairly small nose baggage compartment. The pressurized Baron’s heater is relocated from under the nose baggage compartment floor to along the bulkhead at the rear of, and within, the nose baggage area. This further reduces the already small space.
