Photos & Story by Lance Phillips
I decided to take a new tool to Oshkosh earlier this year. Instead of my usual Leicas or medium-format film cameras, I brought along the new Nikon Zf full-frame mirrorless retro digital. Attached to the Zf was Nikon’s unreal 135 mm f1.8 Plena beast of a lens. As you can see from the images, the compression and color rendering are fantastic. Although my subjects were standing still, the autofocusing options on the Zf are arguably the best in the business, even against Sony’s powerhouses.
