Lance,
I enjoyed reading the article on my good friend, Troy Welch and his 1955 Twin Navion. Matthew McDaniel did a really good job of compiling the history of the Twin Navion. Every time I tell a fellow pilot about my Twin Navion, N708T, it always surprises them when I tell them that my plane, and Troy’s, and all of the other Twin Navions, started life as a single-engine airplane. Then, when I open up the nose cone to access the baggage compartment, I say, “See, there’s the original firewall.”
Anyway, here are pictures of mine and a picture of mine with Troy’s.
I look forward to each and every issue of Twin & Turbine and truly enjoy reading it.
Thank You.
Sincerely,
Kurtis K. Samples
