On January 14, 2015, SimCom Training Centers announced that Michael (Mike) Young has joined the company as Simcom Director of Training Operations and Quality. In this capacity, Young will be responsible for the standardization, regulatory compliance and con-tinuous improvement of SimCom’s existing training programs. He will also work with training center managers, courseware developers, simulator production and subject matter experts on the development of new training programs and courses to be delivered throughout SimCom’s training center network.
Prior to joining SimCom, Young worked at FlightSafety International, where he most recently served as Director of Programs, Embraer; his career there also included Program Manager of the DHC Q-400 and EMB 170/190 Instructor. Young began his flying career in 1979. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with type ratings in the Shorts 330, Dash 8, ERJ 170/190, and the EMB-145 and has accumulated over 18,000 hours.
